Spotlight On - Miguel Osuna

Miguel Osuna hailing from Mazatlán, Mexico, beautifully integrates multiple mediums into his practice including unique painting techniques, wood, glass, textiles, and more. Inspired by the traditional thread crafts enjoyed by the women in his family, Osuna utilizes embroidery stitches to add texture and depth to many of his latest works. With a background in architecture from U.A.G. in Guadalajara, he brings a unique structural perspective to his art.

Osuna’s dynamic compositions capture the fluidity of life and emotional resonance. His art has been showcased in numerous exhibitions across California, Mexico, and Europe, including the prestigious "Salon Ibero-Americano" and "Espejos [Mirrors]" exhibitions in Washington, DC. Notably, his works have also been displayed at Craft Contemporary in Los Angeles.

By integrating a diverse range of materials and techniques, Osuna creates intricate pieces that reflect both his heritage and his innovative approach to contemporary art. His canvases become vibrant landscapes where tradition meets modernity, inviting viewers to explore the profound emotional spaces he depicts. His art studio is currently based out of Downtown Los Angeles, California.
